Methi leaves pulav

Ingredients:

1. Methi leaf – 1 big bunch or 3 cups of chopped leafs
2. Rice – 1 cup
3. Coconut gratings of 1/2 a coconut
4. Salt too taste
5. Cloves(Lavanga) – 4
6. Cinnamon(Dalchini) – 2 1″ pieces
7. Cardamom(Elakki) – 1
8. Onions – 3 to 4 medium size
9. Garlic – 4 to 5
10. Tomato – 2
11. Coriander leaf – 1/4 cup
12. Ginger – 1 small piece
13. Green chilli – 3 to 4

Method: Wash and cut methi leaves. Extract milk of 1/2 of a coconut. You can add water while extracting
milk. Make it two cups of milk. Add coriander leaf, cloves, 1/2 of a onion, cardamom, green chillies, garlic in to a mixer grinder and grind to a fine paste. In a cooker heat about 3 tsp of oil and put onion pieces and fry this till it turns to golden brown. Add the grinded paste, chopped methi leaves and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Now add tomato pieces, washed rice and fry for 4 minutes. Add 1 tsp of salt and 2 cups of milk. Cook it well. Mix it properly and serve hot.

Note: Preparing coconut milk: Grate the coconut and grind the coconut with water in a mixer grinder. Then filter the milk.
