Heerekai / Ridge ground Dosa
Ingredients:
1. Rice - 1 cup
2. Ridge ground - 2
3. Coconut gratings - 1 1/2 cup
4. Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
5. Red chillies - 3 to 4
6. Jeera - 1/2 tsp
7. Tamarind - little bit
8. Salt - 1 tsp
9. Jaggery - little bit
Method:
1.Wash and soak rice in water for 4 to 5 hours or over night.
2.Peal the ridge grounds and make in to thin circular pieces
3.Grind together soaked rice, coconut gratings, Coriander seeds, jeera, red chillies, tamarind, salt and jaggery.
4.Now heat a tava and dip the ridge ground pieces in the batter and keep it on the tava. you can keep around 9 to 10 pieces. When it fried one side put 1/2 tsp of ghee and turn it to cook the other side.
5.Serve it with butter or any chutney or just like that.
Note: Do not make the batter very thin.
